Goldene Mitte

“Goldene Mitte” (“Golden Centre”) sets a pale, pearl-like folded form against a richly textured square of gold. The raised folds sweep around an irregular opening, creating a sense of movement and depth. Smooth, luminous surfaces contrast with the grain of the gold ground, while shifting highlights and shadows give the abstract composition an almost sculptural presence. Measuring 80 × 80 cm, this work combines acrylic on canvas with textile relief elements. It is signed “Tatiana Kaufmann” and dated 2026 at the lower right. Side lighting brings out the contrast between the gold-coloured ground and the pale folds.
