A profusion of silver-coloured folds fills almost the entire square format of “Glamour”. The surface appears to rise, twist and fall in closely gathered waves, like drapery caught in motion. Curving lines cross, knot and open towards the edges. No recognisable figure dominates: the relief itself becomes the work’s subject.
Its visual impact comes from the interplay between luminous planes and shaded recesses. The raised edges catch pearly highlights, while the folds create deeper, steel-grey shadows. What first appears monochrome soon reveals considerable variety. Every shift in viewpoint or lighting brings different passages forward and strengthens the composition’s sculptural character.
True to its evocative title, “Glamour” combines silvery brilliance with a textile language of form. The arrangement is dense yet never static: curves and diagonals lead the eye from one fold to another. The resulting tactile presence has a distinct decorative force, while remaining an exploration of rhythm and volume.
Measuring 60 × 60 cm, this work combines acrylic painting with a textile relief composition on canvas. It is signed “Tatiana Kaufmann” and dated 2026 near the lower right edge. Displayed against an understated wall, side lighting reveals its varied shadows and silvery reflections.
