L’Arbre en fleurs

A tree covered in white blossoms occupies the centre of this spring landscape by Louis Henri Salzmann. Its dark trunk and branches stand out against a blue sky, while a low wall and vegetation in soft tones structure the background. The light touches of the blossoms contrast with the greens and ochres of the ground. This oil on canvas bears the signature “L. Salzmann” at the lower right. It is presented in an ornate gilded frame. Dimensions of the artwork: 65 × 54 cm (height × width); with frame: 88 × 77 cm. The owner reports minor damage to the front of the frame.
