Dobrosav Milojević

Born : 1948Documented citizenships : Serbia

Serbian naive painter Dobrosav Milojević, born in 1948, draws his subjects from village life and childhood memories. His biography connects his mountainous landscapes of Crni Vrh, near Jagodina, with nostalgia for the village during a period of city life. His involvement in naive art is documented from 1971 in connection with the Museum of Naïve and Marginal Art in Jagodina. His exhibitions include presentations in Bologna in 1974, San Francisco in 1980, the Jagodina museum in 1993 and the Galerie de l’Espace Delvaux in Brussels in 2003. His paintings are recorded at the Jagodina museum and the Gallery of Self-taught Artists in Trebnje. The Jagodina museum also published a monograph devoted to him in 2010.
