Riccardo Pellegrini (1863–1934) was an Italian painter born in Milan who died in Crescenzago. The Galleria Giamblanco biography places his training in Milan, followed by Rome and studies with Domenico Morelli in Naples. It also records travels in Spain, England and France. Spanish subjects formed part of his repertoire, as reflected in the titles A carpet market in Spain and One August morning in Toledo, exhibited in Milan in 1926. He also worked as an illustrator, notably on Lesage’s Gil Blas. The CulturaItalia portal documents Pescatori as a work held by the Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Genoa and dates its production to the period between 1900 and 1934.
This profile brings together identity references for Riccardo Pellegrini and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
