Charles-Henri Contencin (1898–1955) was a French painter and poster designer whose work focuses largely on mountains. Raised for part of his childhood in the Bernese Oberland, he later attended drawing classes in Paris. He joined the Société des peintres de montagne in 1929. His landscapes depict the Mont Blanc and Écrins massifs in particular, paying attention to the effects of sunlight on snow and glaciers.
