Painting, sculpture, film and stage design intersect in the career of Francky Boy, the pseudonym of François Sévéhon, born in Paris in 1954. Self-taught, he made around forty short and medium-length films between 1976 and 1984. His collaboration with the band Téléphone included the video Electrique cité in 1983, followed by co-directing Un autre Monde with Jean-Baptiste Mondino and designing the cover of the album of the same name in 1984. He also created sets for Farid Chopel. From 1991, his biography records the production of sculptures and reliefs with the O. Haligon workshops. His Swiss exhibition history includes Enfantaisie at Geneva’s Galerie Sonia Zannettacci in 2007 and a presentation at Galerie d’Yvorne in 2014.
This profile brings together identity references for Francky Boy and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
