Anne Fellner

Born in 1986.

Anne Fellner’s practice is distinguished by the projection of signs and figures onto coloured synthetic fabrics, a process that combines figuration and abstraction and modulates the painterly gesture according to the material properties of the textile.

She trained at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, where she obtained a diploma in painting in Astrid Klein’s class in 2015. She subsequently continued her trajectory at the Berlin Program for Artists (BPA) in 2019–2020, a period noted in her professional career.

As part of the BPA, she took part in the project 'Point No Point', presented at the BPA Studios at the Martin Gropius Bau in 2020. This contribution connects her work with the research and presentation formats developed by the programme.

Her institutional support includes a working grant from the City of Zurich in 2021 and a residency or associated project at Forum Schlossplatz in Aarau in 2024. In 2023, she was mentioned in the selection 'Stadt, Land, Fluss' at the Swiss Art Awards and is also listed as a recipient of the Swiss Art Award in Basel.

In terms of solo exhibitions, she presented 'Forever Home' at Damien & The Love Guru in Zurich in 2022. That same year, she appeared alongside Alessandro Carano in 'Depth Of Field' at Castiglioni in Milan; a later exhibition, announced by the gallery Damien & The Love Guru under the title 'Turtle Pond', is scheduled for Brussels in 2025.

Her work has been covered by the local press, notably in an article in the Aargauer Zeitung dated 28 June 2023. One listing also records a position as Lecturer in BA Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts from 2025.
