Guido Biasi situated his work within experimental networks linking Naples, Milan and Paris. Trained by Emilio Notte at the Naples Academy of Fine Arts, he joined Pittura Nucleare in 1954 and participated in Gruppo 58, writing its manifesto according to Galerie Les Yeux Fertiles. Writing and periodicals accompanied his artistic practice: he contributed to Il Gesto, Linea Sud and, in Paris, Phases. Participation in Surrealist intrusion in the enchanters domain also placed him within international surrealist exchanges. The bodies of work Mnemoteche and Museologie explicitly invoke memory and systems of preservation. His exhibition history includes Galerie Levante in Rome in 1965, followed by the Venice Biennales of 1972 and 1978.
