Born in Stuttgart in 1923 and died in Paris in 1985, Otto Schauer, also known as Friedrich Otto Schauer, is described as a German painter who worked in France from 1950 onwards. He settled in Paris that same year. According to a biographical note, he was introduced to painting by Anton Kolig and Willi Baumeister.
