Boris Pastoukhoff (1894–1974), born in Kyiv, trained with Oleksandr Murashko. His career continued in emigration and brought him into the Parisian art world. He is recorded at the Salon des Tuileries and the Salon d’Automne, while a presentation at the Galerie Charpentier is documented in 1937. His repertoire includes portraits, figure subjects, still lifes and landscapes.
Several dated works make this variety tangible. Élégante, from 1931, is a large oil on canvas devoted to a female figure. Composition florale, painted in 1951 and inscribed with the location Paris, demonstrates his engagement with flowers. A Landscape from 1957, executed on canvas mounted on cardboard, adds another example. These precise reference points illuminate his production without reducing it to a single specialism.
This profile brings together identity references for Boris Pastoukhoff and paintings, drawings and works on paper documented in auction catalogues.
