Masa Feszty, also known as Mária Feszty, was born in Budapest into an artistic family: her father was Árpád Feszty and her mother Róza Jókai. She received their guidance before continuing her training in Budapest and, in 1915, Munich. Visits to Italian collections nurtured her admiration for Botticelli, Filippo Lippi and Fra Angelico. She exhibited portraits, landscapes, nudes and genre scenes, including at Hungarian salons.
From the 1940s, religious subjects became predominant in her work. She produced altarpieces, devotional images and decorations for several churches, including the church at Domaháza during her final years. Her painting combines figurative tradition with a lyrical sensibility. She died in 1979, also leaving writings about her family, notably a contribution on the life and art of her father.
