Walter Schälchli

Born in 1907.

Died in 1984.

Walter Schälchli was an artist whose career included work as a painter, graphic artist and draughtsman. He trained at the Max von Mühlenen School of Painting in Bern and at the Académie Julian in Paris, two institutions recognised for their artistic instruction. These experiences presumably influenced his style and technique, although details of his work remain partially obscure.
