Timothée Velin
Born in 1767.
Died in 1824.
Timothée Velin was an enamel painter recognised for his copies of works by the old masters. His artistic career was shaped by the influence of his teachers, Philippe and Daniel Roux, who contributed to his training. Velin’s creations attest to a refined technique in the field of enamelling, although little detailed information about his works is available.
His legacy remains to be explored, leaving open questions about the extent of his output and his impact on the artistic milieu of his time.
