Théodore Saussure
Born in 1824.
Died in 1903.
Théodore Saussure served as director of the Musée Rath in Geneva. Although he is primarily known for his role in managing this cultural institution, he also practised painting as an amateur. His involvement in Geneva’s artistic milieu bears witness to a passion for art that marked his career, even though little detailed information is available about his paintings.
