Tell Rochat was a painter whose work focused primarily on the landscapes of the Vallée de Joux, the environs of Morges and Valais. His works also reflect subjects inspired by his travels abroad. In addition to landscapes, Rochat ventured into the depiction of figures, portraits, still lifes and biblical scenes, attesting to the thematic diversity of his oeuvre.
