Sigmund von Wagner is recognised for his role as a draughtsman and engraver. He also distinguished himself as a promoter of the arts. In 1804, he organised the first art and industry exhibition in Switzerland, which was held in Bern during the Tagsatzung.
This initiative bears witness to his commitment to culture and art in Switzerland, although other aspects of his life and work remain to be explored.
