Sibylle Burla

Sibylle Burla has been present in Switzerland since 1961 and lives in Zurich, where she completed her initial training in applied arts at the Kunstgewerbeschule Zürich, in the Vorkurs and textile technical class (1974–1979).
Following an initial salaried position as a textile designer at Abraham AG in Zurich (1979–1982), she pursued a professional career in graphic design (an internship followed by work as a graphic designer, 1982–1988), while simultaneously beginning an independent artistic practice in her own studio in 1983.
