Sebastian Lindtmayer was a glass artist from Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria. He settled in Schaffhausen in 1514, where he began his professional activity. Lindtmayer is recognised as the founder of the Lindtmayer artistic lineage, passing on his knowledge to his descendants.
He was notably the father of Felix Lindtmayer the Elder. Although brief, his career unfolded within an artistic context undergoing profound change; the details of his works nevertheless remain uncertain.
