Sebastian Gisig was an artist whose activity was primarily associated with painting. He is known for his wall, façade and ceiling frescoes. The son of the sculptor Hans Gisig I, he also passed on his artistic legacy to his descendants, notably his sons Kaspar, Franz Othmar and Hans Gisig II.
