Samuel Delapeine was a painter whose work focused on the landscapes of the regions around Nice, Geneva and Savoy. A pupil of François Diday, he succeeded in capturing the natural beauty of these places through his painting. The details of his career and style, however, remain only partially documented, leaving a degree of uncertainty as to the extent of his influence and recognition within the artistic milieu of his time.
