Rudolf Meyer was a versatile artist active as a draughtsman, engraver and painter. He belonged to the Meyer family of artists and was the son and pupil of Dietrich Meyer the Elder. Although his artistic career is documented, uncertainties remain regarding the extent of his œuvre and his influence within the artistic milieu of his time.
