Rudolf Friedrich Jahn was a painter and paintings restorer. He received his artistic training in Florence, where he also worked as a bookseller in Bern, Turin and Florence. From 1881 onwards, he settled in Bern, where he devoted his skills to the restoration of works of art.
He was the brother of Albert Jahn. His career attests to a versatility in the artistic and commercial fields, although the details of his pictorial œuvre remain uncertain.
