Switzerland
Roger Tissot is a Jura painter closely associated with Moutier. Trained in house painting and decoration, he develops a self-taught artistic practice from 1961, enriched by study trips to France and Italy.
His first solo exhibition takes place in Bévilard in 1967. He subsequently exhibits regularly in Fornet-Dessus and begins teaching drawing in Moutier in 1976. The town awards him its cultural prize in 2005.
His career thus brings together artistic creation, exhibitions and the sharing of practical knowledge.
