Rocco da Seregno
Born in 1480.
Died in 1514.
Rocco da Seregno was a painter whose training took place in the Lugano workshop of Cristoforo da Seregno. He is particularly known for his major work, a fresco depicting the Madonna enthroned, created for the Oratory of S. Maria del Casletto in Vaglio and completed in 1514.
Although his artistic career is only partially documented, it bears witness to the notable influence of the Lugano school of his time.
