Pietro Salati was a painter and graphic artist. He exerted a notable influence as director of the Centro scolastico delle industrie artistiche in Lugano from 1962 to 1975. Salati was also trained at the University of Decorative Arts in Milan and studied under Marino Marini in Monza.
His career bears witness to a commitment to art education and to a significant contribution to the art scene of his time.
