Peter Birmann

Born in 1758.

Died in 1844.

Peter Birmann is recognised as a draughtsman and landscape painter, as well as an art dealer and publisher. His activities took place mainly in Basel and Italy. He was also the father of Samuel and Wilhelm Birmann, thereby contributing to an artistic lineage.

Details of his career and influence in the field of art remain only partially documented.
