Peter Aerni
Born in 1967.
His education took him from the study of fine arts at ECAL in Lausanne to two years of practising contact improvisation in Berlin, followed by training as a drawing teacher in Basel.
This breadth is reflected in his professional career: he works as an independent artist and teaches at the Bern University of the Arts, where, in collaboration with Gymnasium Hofwil, he directs the talent-promotion programme in design and art. Aerni is also a collector and custodian of objects, a dimension that comes to the fore in his presentation projects. At the Otto Bruderer Haus, he arranged objects found in the house and selected works by Otto Bruderer alongside items from his own collections of curiosities.
