Oswald Mahler
Born in 1587.
Oswald Mahler was an artist whose principal activity appears to have been painting. He is particularly recognised for having executed the interior decoration of St. Oswald Church in Zug, completed in 1587. That same year, he also contributed to the ornamentation and figurative painting of Zug’s Zytturm.
Details of his life after 1587 remain uncertain, as do aspects of his subsequent artistic career.
