Niklaus Weiss
Born in 1738.
Died in 1752.
Niklaus Weiss was a painter from Einsiedeln. His artistic path took him to Rome for his studies. In 1738, he was admitted to the guild, marking the beginning of his professional engagement.
In 1752, he completed an important work, a painting intended for the Rosary, which had initially been begun by his teacher, Franz Anton Kraus. Weiss, whose career was tragically cut short by his death that same year, left behind an artistic legacy connected with the Baroque tradition of his time.
