Nicolao da Seregno was a painter whose activity focused on mural works in the Lombard late Gothic style. He worked primarily in the regions of Ticino and the Grisons, collaborating with his uncle, Cristoforo da Seregno, from 1463 onwards. He was also a member of the Council in Lugano between 1465 and 1482, thus demonstrating a commitment to the region’s civic life.
