Michael Pfender
Born in 1478.
Died in 1479.
Michael Pfender was a painter from Schaffhausen. His artistic activity is documented by a contract dated 1478 for the execution of an altarpiece intended for the parish of Lenzkirch. The following year, he was elected to the Grand Council by the Zum Rüden guild, attesting to his involvement in the civic life of his time.
His career was tragically cut short, however, by his death in 1479, leaving few traces of his œuvre and influence in the artistic field.
