Melchior Waldkirch
Born in 1622.
Died in 1631.
Melchior Waldkirch was an artist from Zurzach, known for his work as a painter and goldsmith. His artistic activity is documented chiefly by the gilding of the tabernacle in 1622, as well as by the creation of two works illustrating the life of Saint Verena in 1631, both located in the collegiate church of Zurzach. Although his career was relatively brief, these contributions testify to notable expertise in the field of sacred art of his time.
