Meister von Mistail
Born in 1400.
The Master of Mistail, active at the beginning of the fifteenth century, was a mural painter whose work is situated in northern Graubünden. Although his date of death remains unknown, his artistic output is represented primarily by his masterpiece, located at St. Peter in the village of Mistail. The frescoes he executed testify to a distinctive craftsmanship rooted in the regional context of his time.
His influence on the region’s mural painting is notable, although the details of his life and artistic career remain largely obscure.
