Max Gautschi
Born in 1918.
A painter, he worked primarily in watercolour, producing in particular portraits and landscapes. After completing an apprenticeship as a house painter, he received formative impulses from Gustav Merz at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and worked as a pupil of Albert Nyfeler in the Lötschental from 1935 to 1938.
