Matthias Zwirn
Born in 1630.
Died in 1681.
Matthias Zwirn was a glass artist from Röthenbach in the Emmental. He settled in Bern around 1630, where he devoted himself to creating stained glass, in particular honorary windows and coats of arms, often inspired by external models. His œuvre also includes stained glass with religious motifs intended for churches.
In 1681, he created windows for the church of Steffisburg, thereby contributing to the art of stained glass in the region.
