Martin Moser
Born in 1500.
Died in 1568.
Martin Moser was an artist whose activity is documented both as a painter and as a glass painter. He is presumed to have been a pupil of Hans Leu the Younger. From 1538 onward, he was a citizen of Lucerne.
In 1557, he created a cycle of paintings for the chapel of Jost Pfyffer-Cloos’s house, located at 5 Weinmarkt in Lucerne. In the eighteenth century, this cycle was transferred to the Fleckenstein family’s estate at Kastanienbaum.
