Maja Zürcher worked as a wood engraver and painter. She developed her art of coloured wood, a technique that enabled her to explore nuances and textures. After pursuing her studies in Paris and London, she settled in France in 1967.
Zürcher was also a member of an artists’ cooperative gallery in Zurich, testifying to her commitment to the artistic milieu.
