Ludmann Glaser
Born in 1415.
Died in 1431.
Ludmann Glaser was an artist whose activity was probably connected with that of the glazier Judmann, who supplied windows for the Ratsstube in Augsburg in 1415. His presence in Basel is documented from 1423 onward, and he became a member of the Zunft Zum Himmel between 1427 and 1431. He belonged to the Glaser family of artists and was the father of Michel Glaser the Elder and Ludwig Glaser.
Details concerning his oeuvre and artistic impact remain uncertain.
