Louise Gaud was a landscape painter whose work reflects a particular sensitivity to nature. The daughter and pupil of Léon Gaud, she developed a style of her own while also being influenced by her father’s teaching. Although her artistic career is less well documented, it merits further exploration in order to better understand her contribution to the landscape painting of her time.
