Louis Joyeux was an artist whose œuvre is distinguished by its diversity. A painter, draughtsman and engraver, he left a notable mark through a series of six copper engravings. These works depict emblematic landscapes of the region, including views of Vevey, Clarens, Montreux and its surroundings, as well as representations of Lausanne.
His work reflects an interest in the local topography and the natural beauty of the places he chose to capture.
