Konrad Hottinger
Born in 1788.
Died in 1827.
Konrad Hottinger was a painter whose artistic career was shaped by his time at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He is recognised as one of the co-founders of the Lukasbund, an artists’ group that included Friedrich Overbeck, Franz Pforr and Ludwig Vogel among its members. Between 1810 and 1812, Hottinger spent time in Italy, a period that may have influenced his work.
He subsequently settled in Munich and Vienna, where he continued to develop his art.
