Karl Schätti
Born in 1923.
Died in 1985.
Karl Schätti was an artist whose artistic career was enriched by training at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Lucerne and at the Grande Chaumière in Paris. He studied under André Lhote and Fernand Léger, two influential figures in modern art. Schätti distinguished himself as a collage artist, painter and draughtsman, exploring various media and techniques throughout his career.
Although less well known, his work bears witness to an artistic sensibility that deserves to be rediscovered.
