Jules Gachet

Born in 1859.

Died in 1914.

Jules Gachet was an artist whose work focused on genre scenes and landscapes. He drew his inspiration primarily from the picturesque landscapes along Lake Geneva and in Ticino. As a painter and drawing teacher, Gachet succeeded in capturing the beauty of these regions, demonstrating a particular sensitivity to their atmosphere and light.

Although less well known, his work merits attention for its contribution to the representation of these emblematic places.
