Judas Thaddäus Sichelbein
Born in 1720.
Died in 1738.
Judas Thaddäus Sichelbein was a painter and altar builder from Wangen im Allgäu in southern Germany. His work is primarily associated with religious commissions, notably the altars of Rheinau Abbey Church, executed between 1720 and 1726. In 1728, he also designed the pulpit of Muri Abbey Church.
Although his career was relatively short, his contribution to the sacred architecture of his time deserves to be emphasised.
