Joseph Sebastian Klauber
Born in 1700.
Died in 1768.
Joseph Sebastian Klauber is recognised for his work as an engraver and publisher. Among other things, he produced a Wappenkalender for the city of Solothurn, the design of which is attributed to Johann Wolfgang Baumgartner. In 1755, he also created a work illustrating the theme of the Theban Martyrs.
Klauber collaborated with his brother, Johann Baptist Klauber, pointing to a family dynamic within the artistic field. Details of his career and works remain only partially documented, leaving questions about the extent of his influence and achievements.
