Joseph Kaufmann
Born in 1776.
Died in 1777.
Joseph Kaufmann had a brief artistic career, marked by his activity as a painter in Staufen im Breisgau. He is documented in 1776 at Jegenstorf Castle and in 1777 in Bern. He may have been the son of Joseph Johann, baptised on 10 March 1734 in Herrenhalb, and the half-brother of Angelika Kauffmann, although this identification remains uncertain.
Details of his life and work remain limited, leaving questions about his impact and artistic career.
