Joseph Esperling was a painter of German origin who worked in Switzerland. His œuvre is distinguished by historical compositions and portraits, as well as by architectural and animal representations. He also practised drawing and fresco painting.
The circumstances of his death remain uncertain, although it is presumed that he passed away in Beromünster.
