Johannes Jakob Tribelhorn

Johannes Jakob Tribelhorn was a versatile craftsman active in St. Gallen. His professional career identifies him as a mechanic, finisher and lithographer. Each of these occupations, in its own way, attests to a mastery of technique and an artistic sensibility characteristic of an era in which industrialisation was beginning to transform artisanal practices.

Although Tribelhorn’s contributions to these fields are poorly documented, they suggest an engagement with the development of the graphic and mechanical techniques of his time.
