Johann Rudolf Feyerabend

Born in 1779.

Died in 1814.

Johann Rudolf Feyerabend was an artist whose work focused on painting. He is recognised for his portraits, as well as for his depictions of flowers and architecture. Feyerabend also produced copies of old Basel coins and medals.

He came from a family of artists and was the son of Franz Feyerabend, attesting to a familial artistic heritage. Details concerning his career and the extent of his oeuvre remain only partially documented, leaving questions about his impact on the artistic milieu of his time.
